Eden Conservation

Stone Work

Cumbria is known throughout the country for its many miles of Dry-stone walls. Eden Conservation re-build and repair hundreds of metres of wall each year.

This series of pictures follow the re-build of a traditional sheep fold at the summit of Brant Fell near Sedbergh and now provides respite from the elements for walkers and sheep.

The fold is part of an ongoing project being carried out by the Yorkshire Dales National Parks Authority to maintain and improve this area of High fell land.
